I am Ebru. This week, I was the facilitator of the group. My role requires to encourage members of the group and order, divide, share ideas between members.
Tasks which are given by the teacher were shared by the group members. Each member thought about the task for set period of time and began coming up with a number of different ideas about the dark sides of the textbook. After the idea creation period had ended, the ideas which had been developed were organized and reviewed. The results were shared with the entire group. Because the task required to work much on it, we decided to work at my home. As a group, we made a model ı-phone made of paper. Moreover, we did like twitter post on the cartoon shape phone and we pasted our ideas that were chosen.
Also, there is a point that I want to mention.Brainstorming plays an important role in group discussions and is excellent for a situation where a group needs to come up with a solution to a complex problem. When group discussion are held, it is important for them to receive encouragement. During working, we paid attention to these points, One more point, when all the members respect each other, group discussion is more successful.
It is crucial for everyone to feel like they are contributing to the discussion. Encouragement will give members the confidence they need and this will allow them to work hard to make sure the group become successful.
As you see these are the crucial points to pay attention while working with group. As a facilitator of the group, I tried to behave like in these way more or less. As a group, we came up with a creative product this week. Wishing the same for the next works.. See you next timee!!
